Steps

  1. In early fall, ask your clinician or pharmacist which seasonal vaccines are recommended for your age and health.
  2. Stock a sick day kit: a thermometer, tissues, fluids, easy food and your usual medicines.
  3. Agree with a friend or neighbor that you will bring each other groceries if one of you is sick.
  4. Wash your hands often with soap and water, and cough into your elbow.
  5. Stay home when you have a fever, and rest.
  6. Call a clinician early if you are pregnant, over 65 or have a long term condition.
